I think living a low stress life helps us regulate our stress response, this in turn facilitates our ability to connect with ourselves and others.
We make it easy to be balnced in the root chakra and avoid having survival fears and coming into situations where we have to sell our soul to survive. This facilitates a healthy energy flow and allows us to connect from the heart chakra. We move from fear to love.

Moving from fear to love is, as far as I understand, also key to building greater attachment security. Just having more balanced cortisol patterns and less anxiety or stress is both a sign of healthier attachment and helpful in preventing activating or deactivating behaviours.
